Endowment Fund

In early 2000, the United Way Endowment Fund was established. It provides a means for people who believe ly in the goals of the United Way to ensure that their gift will continue to exist far beyond their own lifetimes.

Gifts to the Endowment Fund are managed wisely—Deposited in secure, long-term investments.

Memorial Fund couple with two children

The Memorial Fund gives persons the chance to remember a loved one or friend with a special gift. Gifts to this fund will be used as a fitting memorial to an individual or group of individuals who have been memorialized.

Families and/or donors of those memorialized may make suggestions as to how they would like to see these funds used.

You may make your gift to either of these funds or split your gift between them if you prefer. In either case, your gift will assist the United Way in providing needed services for all perpetuity.

Many types of gifts are welcome

Giving may be easier than you thought! Although cash is still the most popular means for sharing a gift, you are welcome to donate stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, and retirement accounts.

Couple with one childA great return on your investment! A contribution to the Endowment Fund or Memorial Fund can be made through a gift annuity, life insurance transfer of ownership, a will, stocks, memorial fund, irrevocable trust or a direct gift. We will work with you and your professional advisor to arrange a meaningful plan that is best suited for you.

We’re counting on you!

If you are considering a contribution to the Endowment Fund, please discuss it with your financial advisor for further tax and estate information. Then, call the United Way at 962-2700 to discuss options.
